Doctor Dejeu team and Dr. Ina Petrescu, primary physician in plastic, aesthetic and reconstructive microsurgery, announce the launch of an integrated post-bariatric care center, developed in partnership with Medlife.
The new center proposes a complete care model, which extends the treatment of obesity beyond bariatric surgery, integrating plastic surgery into the patient’s medical journey. The initiative responds to a real need: that of offering patients continuity, safety and coherence in the process of physical transformation and long-term recovery.

“The post-bariatric patient is a complex patient, who comes after an intense period of weight loss and who needs much more than a one-time aesthetic intervention. He needs a team to prepare him, decide the optimal time for interventions and follow him in the long term. Therefore, this center is not about plastic surgery itself, but about the continuity of the medical act and sustainable results”, says Dr. Viorel Dejeu.

Through this collaboration, patients benefit from a multidisciplinary approach, in which the bariatric team, consisting of surgeons, nutritionists and psychologists, works integrated with the plastic surgery team. Complete patient evaluation, correction of possible nutritional deficiencies and psychological preparation are essential steps before any reconstructive intervention.

The center is open to all patients who have undergone bariatric surgery or have lost significant weight, including those operated on in other clinics. Access is open, but each patient is integrated into a complete medical path, which includes evaluation, preparation and long-term monitoring.

Services are available in Bucharest, through the collaboration of Dr. Ina Petrescu, as well as in Sibiu, Arad and Cluj, through the collaboration of Dr. Brigitta Bokor.
